I've downloaded RebEd from swrebellion.com and it is installed and 'working'.

The problem I have is thus:

When I launch the game from the GOG shortcut, it works and displays fine.

When I launch using the REBEXE executable, I have the upside down icons problem.

RebEd launches the game using the REBEXE file and not the shortcut, meaning that when I use it, I get the issue with the icons.

Is there anyway to change the target of RebEd, or the file names in my Rebellion folder, to make RebEd work properly with it? Or perhaps even a fix that stops REBEXE from launching with upside down icons?

I get the sense that a solution is just out of reach.

I got the exe -w switch as the solution to your problem, but has to be a shortcut. But I have one of my own you got REBED to work? I keep getting a full install error when I try anything. I think its a registry issue at least that is what I am seeing from here. Any thoughts? Curious how you got your's to work?

I posted a walkthrough on fixing RebEd. Also, you can probably change the registry entry pointing to REBEXE.exe, and point it to the GOG shortcut instead. That registry entry is what RebEd uses to launch the game.
