I am curious if the GOG has music in it during gameplay since I own the disc copy but used a no cd patch to play it and notice no music plays, does the GOG plays the music during gameplay?

For AoE2, UbiSoft and Microsoft distributed a bad version with a no-cd-exe and no music support.
GoG-Version of course has also no CD, which can be checked. I would no wonder if this version has no music.
But this would be very cheap. :(

Yes i also have this problem, the music plays for a while and then stops. I remember this on the old CD version if CD was not in drive. I have no idea how to fix this.

Does anyone know how to fix the music stopping while playing. Only way for me currently is to save and load again and then music plays for a while and then stops again.

To be honest, I just turn off the music and play my own. The music can be quite unfitting and obnoxious. Basically the game starts and there is some intense star wars tune playing which doesn't fit the mood at start.

But that's a personal choice of mine.

I think I spotted a bug with the in-game music not looping like it probably should.
Could anyone try to reproduce it on Windows and report the results to the dedicated thread? Thanks!

Temporary fix for those still having this problem: when the music stops, alt-tab out of the game, then go back into it. The music should start over.
