I'm getting a strange problem with videos playbacks - after a while of normal playing, it begins to freeze every few seconds for about a second, as if the hard drive reading speed is insufficient to play smoothly. Which isn't possible, of course, with my SSD, when videos played back off a CD-ROM back on the day. Sound desynchronises with the video, as well. If I press space and pause the video for a while, then continue - it plays fine for a while, then gets stuttering again. I'm playing in Windows 7 64-bit on a Macbook Pro Retina 2012.

Did you apply the fan patch (see other topics)? I have this issue only when I install the patch (needed for JK enhanced). When I play it with some mods that don't need the patch it runs perfectly.

No, it happens with the plain GoG version without any additional patches. Doesn't happen with other games I play on the same machine, so it's unlikely to be a system problem.

And what if you install the patch? Maybe that helps for you?

This probably doesn't help, but that sounds like the same problem I had with the CD and Steam versions under Windows XP. The Gog version under Windows 8 64-bit works fine for me, though.

(I assume you're aware that you can download the cutscenes from Youtube; albeit not in a format that the game itself will play.)
