IronArcturus: I've noticed the sound in Battlefront 2 tends to get "stuck" and repeats itself over and over again. The music does the same thing. Is there a way to fix this problem? I'm using Windows 7 64-bit with plenty of RAM.
I expect a solution to this was never found? I tried the fix suggested:
Create a shortcut from the launcher in the GOG folder, not the desktop one provided.
Right click on it, and under the "Target " field enter audiomixbuffer 50 one space after the command line. Doesn't work with no space.
It looks like this: "E:\GOG SSD\Star Wars - Battlefront 2\SWB2Launcher.exe" audiomixbuffer 50
E\GOG\ is the installation path on my SSD drive. Typically it might be C:GOG\Games\Star Wars, etc.
Edit: I hadn't noticed the post from AnotherAvatar, but tried changing the number to 200, and then 90. But it still doesn't work. I suppose this means the game is broken for me.
Edit2:
https://support.starwars.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000695423-How-do-I-fix-sound-and-display-issues-in-STAR-WARS-Battlefront-II- I went here, and realised the higher end your CPU is, the lower the number should be. So I set it to 1 and then fiddled with the sound sliders as they suggested. It doesn't happen as much now, and is acceptable.
