I checked on their Facebook page and saw them reply to someone with this problem to try opening the ISO with "MagicISO", and sure enough once I downloaded and installed that utility I was able to open the ISO and extract the contents and install.
Not sure why they are sending it out in such an incompatible format instead of a .zip file or something, but posting here in case anyone else comes here via google search.
