If you changed the Game settings
1. Go to the Game installation directory and open the folder /base/,
find the last modified *.cfg file, which is usually named after the Windows Loginname
2. Move or rename this file and try with different Video Settings again
If it doesn't work on first run
1. Go to the Game installation directory and open the folder /base/,
find the last modified *.cfg file, which is usually named after the Windows Loginname
2. Open it with a Texteditor like Notepad, make sure the game is closed
3. Search for the entry that reads something like: seta r_mode "8"
change it to
seta r_mode "-1"
4. At the very bottom of this file add the following two lines,
the numbers shown here are for FullHD, change it to your
real Monitor Resolution (look it up in Windows or the Manual).
seta r_customheight "1080"
seta r_customwidth "1920"
5. Save the cfg file and then start the game.
6. In game playing on a level adjust the Field of View by entering into the
console (You might need try different values to make it look good for you):
seta userfov 94
This is how you can open the console: https://www.gog.com/forum/star_trek_elite_force_ii/console
If you are using Vista:
1. Go to the Game installation directory,
right click on EF2.exe and choose Properties.
2. Go to Compatibility tab, enable Compatibility mode and set it for Windows XP
disable Desktop Composition
enable running with Administrative privilege level
then try running the game directly from EF2.exe file
Update/Downdate your Graphics drivers.
1. Un-install the old drivers, use un-install Wizard, or any tool which is delivered with your driver.
2. Reboot your pc with default drivers and install the already downloaded new/old driver
If all of this did not help, make sure similar games using OpenGL work.
