I'm having a problem. I have a laptop that has an integrated intel GPU as well as an NVIDIA dedicated GPU.
Ive tried to point out the game to the NVIDIA GPU in the settings but no matter what the game only recognizes the Intel GPU.

Does anybody know how to fix this?

Cheers!
I will second this question. Would also like a solution. :)
I’ve tried fresh installation of Nvidia drivers. No dice!
Can anybody answer this problem?

Edit-
Ok. This is ridiculous but I may have found a solution.
I disabled my Intel graphics driver in the device manager.
An absurd solution, but it seems to be (kind of) working.
Your gpu will show up as Microsoft Generic.
It doesn’t seem very stable so far… actually it seems to be running off the CPU!!!!
Ughhhhh...

I found a way, if your on Windows 10. Hit the Start Button (Windows Icon) in the bottom left and type "Graphics Settings". Select Desktop App, then Browse for the STBC.EXE executable. Add it, click it, click Options, and choose the appropriate GPU from there. It made mine run VERY well. Good luck!

Sadly, I have tried that and it didn’t work for me…
I’m running windows 10 with an Nvidia GeForce 1060 with max Q
I tried reinstalling my Nvidia drivers several times.
I just can’t seem to get it to work :c
Does your graphics card actually show up in-game?
I’m totally clueless

No, it still shows the regular option in-game, but I can tell it's definitely utilizing my nVidia GPU, as the game itself runs way better.

Fascinating!
Can you confirm in your task manager that the game is using the GPU?

Sure, I can do that for you. Just tell me how exactly to confirm it, and I'll get to work. :)

Run the game and the task manager at the same time and see which GPU is being utilized on the graphs
Cheers!
Me too. It will not run on my Geforce 6GB 1060TI no matter what I do. It only runs on the Intel UHD 630, which is not for gaming. As soon as I load up a quick battle it's pretty obvious it's not on my GPU as it's completely impossible to do anything when the 3D graphics start up. I've only had the game a day and I think I want a refund.

I've tried to set it to use only the GPU from Nvida control panel, no dice. Tried the windows setting, nothing. Tried setting the compatibility to XP, or windows 7... nothing.

Here's from the "options" file in the game:

[Graphics Options]
Texture Detail|2
Number of Lights|8
MipMaps|1
Display Depth|32
Display Height|1024
Visible Damage|3
LOD Skip|0
Display Device=Direct3D T&L HAL on Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630 <=== HERE'S THE PROBLEM
Display Width|1280
Fullscreen Mode|1
Effect Detail|3

I have tried everything suggested in this thread so far and nothing has worked. Has anyone found a solution to this issue?

I have a NVIDIA 1050TI but the game keeps running on the Integrated Intel GPU which makes it virtually unplayable.
I found a way to get this to work.

It involves using dgVoodoo2, which is a directX wrapper (also glide, which explains the name). Via the wrapper you can force the discrete GPU to be used instead of the integrated one.

It actually sets up a virtual graphics card named "dgvoodoo graphics card" and the game sees that, but behind the scenes it proxies the DirectX calls to whatever GPU you tell it to.

dege.fw.hu/dgVoodoo2/dgVoodoo2/#latest-stable-version

From the zip, drop the files MS/x86/DDraw.dll and MS/x86/D3DImm.dll into the STBC root folder, and use the dgVoodooCpl.exe control panel to configure which GPU you want it to use. You'll need to point the control panel to your STBC folder.

It works with default settings, all you should need to change is the GPU.

Huge thank you sir! Worked on mine too. Still a small box in the top right of my windows 11 desktop but a huge step forward! :-)
