Hi

I just bought this and installed it via the GOG App

When I click play a little windows for the game pops up then disappears and that is it, nothing else loads

The game is then showing as not responsive in task manager

Anyone get this to work

Windows 11
i7 10th Gen

16gb Memory

First of all, if you didn't already, manually install DirectX 9.0c and reboot your PC so it's loaded: https://cncnz.com/features/technical-support-help-guides/installing-directx-90c/

Secondly, disable all but one monitors (OR force the game to run in a window in dxcfg.exe)

How do I do this?

Ok, so that worked and the game started.

But it wont let me click anything on the menu screen, I can hover over and hear sounds but when I click on it or hit enter nothing happens

Sounds like an issue either with application focus (alt-tab once or twice and make sure your computer is focusing on the game and not any other application) or scaling (make sure your display is not doing any extra scaling).

Do what I've already suggested in post 2.
Also struggling to get Armada 2 to launch.
Have exhausted all of the launcher options. Re-installed Dx9.
Re-installed and verified. Still no luck....

Armada 1 seems to work ok though
I get a small porting of the game in the top left. I cannot do anything, but move with my mouse in the small portion.
Installed on another machine.... On that one it launches....plays the into videos, gets to the menu.

That is where my success ends.
No menu animations, and when I click an option on the main menu, the next menu clearly loads because I can hear all the buttons as I move the mouse but all I can see is the main menu.

Fun times

Starting the game in windowed mode has no effect. The game still crashes

try IN windows admin / compatibility mode
I having some trouble starting the game. For me it only showed one rectangle with graphics, the rest was black.

What worked was clicking on the dxcfg.exe file in the game's installation folder and changing the settings as in the attached image. Hopefully this helps some people on this thread.

Tried this already, keeps crashing
Tried to report the issue to GOG support....unfortunately their stupid chat robot refused to create a support ticket for me after I had answered all of it's questions.
