Believe it or not I have an original copy of Armada 1. I was an early adopter and was big in the modding community back when A1 came out. I never had a copy of Armada 2, sadly. So when I got the one from GOG I thought it would be great to see what I'd missed all those many years ago. However...

The game won't launch. It won't launch in compatibility mode for ANY version of Windows. It won't launch with ANY number of buttons clicked in the launcher. It pops up the splash screen and then ends. The GOG version of Armada 1 I got will launch. I can run it without any issues at all. But Armada 2 will. not. launch.

I have tried running it through the GOG launcher, through Steam, through the executable itself. Nothing.

You have to provide more information since it runs just fine out of the box for most people, incuding myself.

Do you get an error message? Which graphics card do you have? Did you try things suggested in similar threads on this forum?

I too am having the same issue, after completing the same troubleshooting steps.

same issue here. I've had the game installed since it was lunched, hoping a solution gets found.

maybe you don´t mind trying fleetOps roots 2.1 version?
different engine, it will work. more stable and better graphics/gameplay then vanilla game.
still requires owning the game.

I just downloaded the game the other day. Star Trek Armada works just fine. But Armada II will not load. Went to support and tried everything they said with no luck. Really want to play this game!!! No error message given. The game just won't load.

I can get it to the main menu but then it will not respond when I click on any of the options or close. I have to force it to close via task manager

Also my experience. Have tried all of the fixes and no luck. Support doesnt seem to monitor the threads or their trouble tickets as I have filed many and never get a response.

The game seems to work when running it from command line using the flag no intro see below.

armada2.exe -nointro

Works nicely even with internal graphics card, AMD pc here with Win10. Thank you for this post. Also changed my default start up exe from the GoG cliënt to FleetOps and works great.
