I wonder whether there is a Ukrainian game localization. Its not on the list.
Just do not want to buy the game without the official Ukrainian localization.

Yes, there is official Ukrainian localization which is available on Steam:

(Not that I would ever buy anything on Steam anyway, no matter how good it is.)

It is surprising that gog.com does not offer it, considering that the game was developed in Ukraine.

Fortunately official localizations for all 3 games work very well for me so far.

Hello friends, how did you get them to run?

I got the following message when I try to run the patch. I'm assuming there are extra instructions I need from somewhere..

OK, after changing the non-Unicode locale to Ukrainian, I was able to understand the error message (attached to post);

The patch installers complains that the version is "Unknown", rather than Russia and CIS. I installed the Russian language version from GOG Galaxy, but It looks like its no good. Is there a way to go around this check?

Run Regedit and find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\GSC Game World\STALKER-SHOC
Then change "InstallSource"="GOG" to "InstallSource"="stk-rus-pack-starforce-keydisk-r" Install ukrainian localisation (Then you can return everything back in registry)

/Українська локалізація випускалася як патч до версій СТАЛКЕРа для Росії та СНД. Тому патч шукає відповідні записи в реєстрі Windows, а коли не знаходить, пише, що версія гри Невідома. Обдурити можна простою правкою реєстру. А після інсталяції можна повернути запис в реєстрі до первинного стану. Перевірено на щойнокупленій грі "Тінь Чорнобиля". З "Чистим небом" взагалі не було ніяких проблем, патч ні на що не сварився, просто встановився й усе. З "Зовом Прип'яті" - не знаю. Ще не купляв та не грав.../

Those installers contain "localization.ltx" files only. I remember you can "install" language pack even if you don't have STALKER installed on hard. It creates a file in config-folder with a path of retail edition game. So GOG-team can extract those files and include them in their own releases.

Come on, GOG, METRO has ukrainian localization. Do it! Just do it))))))

+1. Really annoying, its good that i buyed only one. Will buy other stalker games on steam then if wouldnt be added.

GSC Game World released official tools that converted all 3 games from Russian to Ukrainian.

Shadow of Chernobyl

Clear Sky

Call of Pripyat

That's because none of the games actually shipped with the Ukrainian language. GOG would have to talk to GSC Game World specifically about this, and GSC are Ukrainians themselves.
