The 136 GB update completed for me last night. This morning, I go to play the game and all the loading screens are filled with what I think is placeholder text- like "sid_disclaimerepliepsy_document" for the initial epilepsy warning screen. There's not other text- just the references to the text like "sid_disclaimerepilepsy_docuemnt_disclaimerEpilepsy_title2"

Once that clears, the other initial screens are very similar until just before the main title screen. At that point, the cursor turns into the correct cursor but the screen is black and won't load. No crash, it just stays like that.

There were similar complaints on Steam and Reddit, and fixes suggested not running the game in Administrator mode.
I've confirmed the game isn't running in Administrator mode.

Another fix was to uninstall mods. I did install UEtools to ensure Zalissya stayed saved.
I've removed the mod folder, and now the load won't progress past the epilepsy screen.

Any ideas?

EDIT:

I used Verify/Repair under Manage Installation in GOG Galaxy. It downloaded a further 2.83 GB file and the issue went away. Hopefully these findings are of some help to others.

I downloaded the offline patch and it just hangs. This is a real s#itshow by GOG so far. If it downloaded another 2.83GB to fix, that must not be included in the offline patch. Never buying a game here again.
