lespectraal: Stalkersoup.

Playing it now and I believe it is the greatest mod for content ever made for Shadow of Chernobyl. Try it out if you want lots of items, locations and enemies plus a whole other bunch of stuff.
What kind of computer are you running it with and what mod version are you playing?

Just a normal laptop with a discreet graphics card on Windows 8.1 and running the latest version of the mod. Why?
Question about Stalker - Call of Prypiat

Is it possible to run Misery Mod and Stalker Complete mod at the same time?

It's rather demanding. How much physical RAM does your laptop have?
I wind up giving up on a number of these mods before even seeing them, since even downloading them is a challenge, never mind some of the complex installation procedures that are sure to leave your game in a buggier state than vanilla should you miss one small step.

I'm referring mainly to Stalker Soup. Link posted above links the download to some skydrive account where you can only get one file at a time out of like 20 needed, and you need some microsoft account to even access them.

Anyone got a working link for this one that doesn't involve account setup and 20 separate downloads?

Unfortunately not. I just got it up running but of course I received 2 BSODs in a row trying to start a new game and I don't know why.
Amazing. At minimal settings with optimized flag in a mod file (but still highest texture due to text disappearing and 1080p) the game is eating up around 1.8, 1.9GB phsical RAM with the Stalker Soup mod.

Just 6Gb. The mod isn't demanding at all, had no problems running the game at all. Crashes are there but hell it's there even without the mod, inherent of the game engine.

Yes installing it is a bitch, but trust me once you do you are treated to a ton of delicious content. Finding new items and earning them provides a sense of accomplishment.

Also if I recall I there are no automatic ways to install the mode, you have to follow through the installation guide on the page, and follow as it is.

Also I might add, you need to have the beta stalker file to make the game run as it should, this isn't said in the installation guide.

SoC has the most fucking annoying bug that nobody here mentioned before. That is basically you can't play stealthily because if you are noticed by an enemy and then reload a saved game in the same area, enemies will be automatically alerted by your presence and will know where you are. The ZRP mod that everyone recommends doesn't really solve it, though it somehow makes it more bearable. So, is there a mod out there that completely solves this problem?

Which one is that?

STALKERSOUP_BIN_BETA folder.

lespectraal: STALKERSOUP_BIN_BETA folder.
Now I've it.

Do you happen to have black lines here and there? It's really annoying.

Nah, they both would conflict with the modifications made. one example would be the class choosing. Enemy AI is different between them... yeah there's a lot of elements that wouldn't let them work together.

Thank you.
Meanwhile I did some more research and came to the conclusion that the complete mod is not so well recieved nowadays.
So atm I am playing with Reloaded 0.8 mod. (I guess there won´t be an 0.9, regarding how old 0.8 is)

Originally I wanted to play "I walk alone"-mod for CoP, but after installing, it wanted me to insert the Disk...duh.

Basically I am waiting for the full release of Misery 2.1 for CoP. -> anyone knows when it will be out?

Is this for your first playthrough?
