I was wondering, purely out of curiosity, whether Clear Sky with its awful optimisation could run on today's systems. I recently bought myself a R9 290X and want to try it out. However, at the moment I do not have the opportunity to do so, and thus I was wondering if anyone has a similar or more powerful card and has tried it out yet.

A have a modest little AMD 6870, and I can run it on maximum settings with Clear Sky Complete installed. It's running at 60 FPS in the swamps, but dips to around 30 in the Clear Sky camp.

That's quite impressive, when I fist tried to play it using my GTX 580 I was getting tons of stuttering and less than 30fps in the camp.

I should also mention that with Sky Reclamation Project installed instead of Complete, it stays around 60 FPS in the camp.
