I playing the journey mission where I had to escort the settlers between the nodes and I actually completed it only to be defeated at the very end because one of my heroes wouldn't resurrect my main character despite standing right next to them. How does the game choose the character who does it? Can I change it so the dumbfuck AI does it automatically with the nearest one? Is this a bug or a feature?

The safest way I have found doing it is to use the portraits in the top left corner for it. Select one alive hero there manually and then right clicking on the dead heroes portrait, this will prevent an accidental miss-click on the ground or other unit. Not sure how the priority is when having multiple heroes selected, this way is fairly fast and you only need to know of one hero in the vicinity.
