I don't know what icons are you talking about.

Can you post a screenshot ?
Yes, of course, only in the form of a link, because such an image is too large to paste directly.

Woah! That's a new one!

I can't speak for Windows 11, as I haven't tried that yet, but the missing names are as following:

Campaign
Aryn Campaign
Phoenix Campaign
Free Game Mode
Multiplayer
Options
Credits
Exit

As for solutions, have you tried playing in windowed mode?
Right-click on the shortcut to the game and in the "Target" box add at the end:
-windowmode

yes, I only understand what to do to make the icons come back, because it doesn't make sense to play like that. Something was damaged or what the change of resolution could not display?

Okay, this has to be a problem between Spellforce and Windows 11 specifically.
I have never seen that bug before, and I think I have seen most of them in Spellforce.

Do you play locally or through GoG Galaxy? I doubt it changes anything, but try it through Galaxy.

As I haven't tried Windows 11, I don't know what it can do (all I know is that W11 isn't finished yet, and I don't want it).
Can you run apps as administrator, or change compatibility mode to something like Windows 7?

Are all labels blank, or just the main menu?

Also, have you changed the game resolution somehow...? That screenshot you posted looked to me like it is in 16:9, and unsupported resolutions could cause bugs like that. It could also explain why the game crashes when running it in windowed mode.

One thing to check: in the install folder, do you have a file called "config.lua"?

In English, through the Galaxy works, you can see icons, I'll try in Polish. 2 The case is missing config.lua and of course a bug comes out of the menu with this exiting the game. So I have to create anyway?

The config.lua file is created automatically when you create a character and start playing.

If you want to try creating it manually, go to the install folder and create a new text document. Rename the file from .txt to config.lua (make sure to change the file extension too and not just the name).

Open the file in Notepad and insert what is between the lines:

-----------------------------------

UserInterface =
{
SkipTutorial = 1,
InvertZoomKey = 0,
InvertMouselook = 0,
BorderScrollSpeed = 695,
BorderScroll = 1,
RMBScroll = 0,
AutoNorth = 0,
ExtendedTooltips = 1,
GameMode = 2,
}
Graphic =
{
AvoidExcessiveFrameBuffering = 0,
VSync = 0,
FlatShades = 1,
EffectLightmap = 1,
EnvironmentMapping = 1,
AdornMode = 3,
ObjectFadeDistance = 100,
ShadowType = 3,
TextureQuality = 4,
Filtering = 4,
ScreenResolution = 4,
WindowWidth = 2560,
WindowHeight = 1440,
ShowHitInfo = 1,
}
Sound =
{
SpeakerType = 0,
Channels = 2,
VolumeSpeech = 12,
Speech = 2,
VolumeSFX = 0,
SFX = 0,
VolumeMusic = 10,
Music = 0,
}

-----------------------------------

Note these 2 values:
WindowWidth = 2560,
WindowHeight = 1440,

Here you type in your screen resolution, whatever you have.

Now you try adding -window to the game shortcut again, and this time it should work.
I remember that this happened to me many years ago on Windows XP, it was a graphic driver fault, I had to disable something on the Radeon configuration... but I can't be more specific, too many years and computers ago...
<AI)(*) 'something' Radeon 'something'>.
AI yes, not ati. But that old story i guess, no such function in current drivers. But many else.

Did you play english version?
Try to remove settings config files located here:
<path-to-game>\config.lua
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\SpellForce\
Check Note's from this article for path without admin rights and Program Files game install path
https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/SpellForce:_The_Order_of_Dawn

Then restart GOG Galaxy as admin and do verify game files - at least twice in a row (Galaxy since 2.0 update no more report result of verification, so second is verification for verification).

Than set game exe adminrun. Try to check or un-check pre-set disablefullscreenoptimisation option on exe file. Try few DPI scaling methods (start with per application).
Set Keep Aspect ratio in video driver.

Do not force game to work on unlimited FPS, or in any resolutions. Avoid of using localisation packs and mods - first try with clear game from GOG.

If that happen with localised version - its probably cause you have English Windows MUI installed. Switch to Polish MUI or change non-unicode text support in regional settings.
Or keep all English - but use separate 3rd party system locale wrappers (put them to the game folder).
