It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I've downloaded the game 6 times now, and every time, the "Setup" file gets created as a BIN file, aka- Binary. What the $#^#@ is going on? Being I paid $10 bucks for it, I'd kinda like to play it <sadface> If someone knows what the crap the problem is, please help!
Forgot to mention that the setup file is only created as BIN if I use the second or 3rd mirrors to download it. If I use the first one, it makes an executable file, but running results in the following message:
SET UP FILES ARE CORRUPTED. DOWNLOAD ANOTHER COPY OF THE PROGRAM.

If you're not using the downloader and just DLing using your browser, you need all 3 files. The first is small and is the executable. The other two are larger and are the binaries for the game.
If that's not your issue, apologies.

Ah, so they weren't mirrors at all, it was just the entire game in 3 sections. Clever bastards. Thank you much for the reply and assistance!.
No problem. Glad to help.
Do me a favor when you get it installed, if you'd be so kind:
Navigate to your My Documents\Spellforce folder and see if you have a log.txt file in there (not sure if you have to run the game once first). If you do, look inside and see if you're getting a bunch of errors reported. Mine's full of errors having to do with the config.lua file.

I ran the game twice, but I don't even HAVE a Spellforce folder in My Documents O_o

Yes I have the same stuff about missing sounds and animations etc.
Sorry to hear that you got some problems with download, but remember, that Spellforce is divided into several packages (2 *.bin and one *.exe).
"Problem" with log.txt is decribed in here Q: Log.txt file in My DocumentsSpellforce.

why are downloads divided? Why can't it all be in one executable? wouldn't that make things a little simpler for us? I just downloaded it and it left me wondering if I needed them all. So I had to waste time on the forum to look. Then I have to wonder where to put the files when I run the exe. I don't need to wonder either.

Well then use the GOG downloader... The files a separate for people that have a slower connection that want to download the game. For example they might take a day to download file 1.
Also their is a less of a chance the files can become corrupted after finished downloading.
Again the GOG downloader is really good as you can pause or continue your download. I use it because I can have everything organized and don't need to use any 3rd party download managers from Internet Explorer or Firefox. Also its the same reason for me when I use Stardocks Impulse. Steam, Gamersgate, Direct2Drive or any other digital store.

For all of the reasons zolop said, and that some browsers have a 2 GB file size limit.

This was answered on the Far Cry forum. It's a limitation in Windows. EXE files can't be more than 2GB.
just purchased heroes III compete. Unfortunately, the single player doesn't work at all. says i need a CD. I'm assuming this is an error, i bought and downloaded the game here so what gives??
