Hi,

i just started playing. Now I am supposed to enter the castle in the first mission (prologue).
There is a side path with a barrier, which I am supposed to destroy using arsonists (?)

Now, if I take some arsonists and right click on the barrier, they just shout something like "light them up", but are not attacking or moving. No other unit can attack this either. I cannot damage the barrier either by a AOE attack like whirlwind.

I am running V1.12.

So, how do I destroy this barricade?
Thanks a lot in advance!

Hey, i just did that quest and it worked fine on 1.13.x

1. did one of your party members stand in the way ?
2. did you walk up to the large gate on top before to see that it is closed and trigget the next point on your quest?
3. did you reload the game to see id this sill happens?
Hi, i tried patching to 1.13. This still happens.
I loaded an older savegame, walked to the main gate. There, I get a dialoge about building a battering ram, and that building it would take too long.
Now I walk down the sidepath to the barricade. The general mentions, we need to wait for the arsonists. If I approach the barricade, he mentions that a specialist is needed.

After that, I cannot progress any further.
Since this dosnt seem to be a common problem, I may be doing something wrong.

So, am I supposed to be able to destroy the barricade by selecting some arsonists (the normal unit) and right-clicking on the barricade (classic controls)?
Brandmeister und Armbrustschützen greifen automatisch an, wenn du sie an die Barriere stellst.
Arsonists and Arbalists attack self-acting in front of the barricade.

As far as i remember, i did a lot of damage to the gate down there with my regular heros before the arsoninsts even arrived. Just by rightclicking the gate or via a attack command.
Hi,

i just redownloaded, reinstalled and restarted the game, and now it did work.

It may have been a bug bug, but I thik not.
I seem to have missed some sort of trigger event bevore, because now I got a dialogue where the general mentions i should be able to destroy the barrier now, and bingo, now it did work.

The motivation to play this, is gone for now. It feels like bad design, if such a critical trigger can be missed so easally (I tried this mission several times!).

I will wait a few weeks and several patches, bevore playing again. They are still working hard on bugfixing, so there is hope.
The game is unfortunately very buggy so it was probably that. I myself have run into a particular bug where the quest objective (person in one case and item in antoher) becomes uninteractable. One for a sidequest which is fine, the other for a main quest which is less so.

Thankfully they are patching this game relatively quickly so it might get solved soonish?
I doubt that. Patching seems to mean: One bug goes two bugs come :-)
And on further maps the balancing is poor. No chance to win the battles (on normal level!).

Well during the patching they patched out a trigger bug that I didn't even kow i had. Also I can't comment on further maps as I'm stuck in the nexus trying to deliver the 2nd thing because the objective became uninteractable...
