I've requested a CD Key for Spellforce, and recieved it within two days. However, when I download and run the 32-bit registry entry thing, all it does is open a text document. Is that good enough, or am I missing some program?

You need to import the reg file into your registry, however the default action for double-clicking on the file would appear to be "Edit" on your system, rather than "Merge". Instead of double-clicking on the file, right-click on it and select "Merge".

There is no Merge option. Maybe it's because I'm running XP?

Nope, I'm running XP as well and the option is definitely available. Is your user account in XP an administrator account or a limited user account? I think registry merges might be restricted to administrators.

You could try it this way :

Start -> run -> type in regedit

then

File -> import... -> [select GOG file]
