You'll have to ask the devs about that one :) Last I heard there was a beta of the Linux version but I am not 100% sure how reliable that info actually is :)
A Linux version would be neat, for sure.
But FYI: I did install the Windows Version yesterday through PlayOnLinux. Installation worked like a charm. Played the first two levels and framerates were a little bit low at times. But that is because my system barely meets the requirements.

Ubuntu 12.04
AMD Athlon X2 5200+ (2.6 Ghz)
Geforce 8800 GTS
3 GB RAM

All I did was using Wine version 1.7.23 . I did not add anything via WineTricks and did not do any further tweaking.

I only played the first two levels but thus far I'm really enjoying the game.
@Halarion

It's true the game can be installed and played with playonlinux.
But I don't get any sound...

Anyone have an idea?

Sorry, no idea. Like I said before, I just used "vanilla" wine 1.7.23 , and I got sound. Chosen Windows version is XP and used sound driver is wine.alsa.drv. Devices are all set to "standard". Maybe that info helps.

According to Dev on Steam, Linux version is coming "soon".

It's currently on open beta:
Open beta for SteamOS and Linux:
For the SteamOS and Linux version, you should have SteamOS or Ubuntu 12.04 or later. As this version is in beta state you may have some troubles to launch or play the game. So you’re welcome to report us your feedback here in order to fix the issues and improve the version before the official release. To get the beta version, you simply need to be on Linux and download the game.

It works now. I disabled my motherboard sound card (BIOS) and so forced the OS to use my Monitor soundcard.
Everything works now =)

Hey Judas

This is showing full support for Linux on Steam now

Will you be getting this build?

The current sale is a must buy if you do.

Steam currently has the Linux version for this game, can we expect it appearing on GOG? Thanks!

Ping!

Please can you follow up on this and not let it join the graveyard of games on GOG inferior to Steam letting your customers down.
Has GOG interest about their Linux-users? Would be nice having the native version here, which is out of the beta long time now. Or do we have to wait already like for Metro, Tropico 5, Dungeons 2, Grand Ages: Medieval, Bastion, Dying Light and many more titles?
There is a Linux version? Then that is must for me. Come on gog.

Edit: The game works like a charm in Wine. No issues whatsover.

Isn't it up to the developer to provider the linux-version on gog?
Maybe one should ping them?
The Linux build has been available for almost 10 years on Steam, but GOG customers are still stuck with only the Windows build.

Are there any plans to fix that?
