To be honest I voted for something else because I already own SR 2. The reason I already own SR 2 is because it is one of the greatest games ever. Execpt for that Roland guy. I'd like to kick him in the - errrr forgive me. I get emotional. Anyway, I went in and voted for it just now.

You don't own the HD expansion, because it's not out yet. You can read about it in the link in the original post. It adds a subplot where you can choose to fight/join a pirate onslaught in addition to/instead of fighting the dominators. Space Rangers 2 Reboot was pulled from GOG, my hope is the HD version/expansion shows up here when released.

Far out. I've got reboot; I don't suppose that is going to help with the price!? And I hope they don't up the specs too much. One of the reasons I love the series it that is easy on the hardware (of which mine is severly dated).

I wouldn't really worry about them upping the specs at all. Most HD conversions just add support for more and higher monitor resolutions, or they offer higher poly models and higher res textures for dated 3D graphics. The only 3D part of SR2 is the RTS robot missions, and I really think those look good enough already.

Amen. and Thank You
I only mentioned the price because I bought SR Reboot a week after it came out and found out that if I'd gone shopping a week earlier I would have just gotten SR 2 with none of the reboot frills. Then I would have had to buy the whole thing AGAIN as reboot. Dodged a bullet there. Thanks again!
Do you know about Revolution? It's a free addon for Reboot released by Reboot's Developers. Unfortunately it is only in Russian, but there is a mod that lets you run Revolution in English, cutting out the extra text missions that have never been translated. Unfortunately it sounds like Revolution is not built into A War Apart (the HD expansion.) Reboot however, is.

Absolutly. And if I may, could they tweek the resort RTS mission. I know I'm not the only one who finds that borderline impossible.

Somebody wrote on one of these forums that the key to RTS missions is to take direct control of a robot. I generally suck at the RTS missions, well most of the game really. I am way behind the AI pilots, but skipping or failing the RTS missions at least lets you continue the game.
What's the difference ? I already own SR2, not sure what more is in that so called HD version.
Went to the website, checked screens and they look identical.

edit:
From the website:

Q: Are you so out of fresh ideas that you’re going to sell the same game third time already? Isn’t there already a free expansion pack with HD-patch?
A: We’ve always wanted to work on SR franchise, and when 1C Publishing gave us the green light, we happily agreed. And no, “A War Apart” isn’t the same “Revolution” made by some of SNK-Games’ employees back in 2009.

Q: Are Elemental Games or Katauri Interactive, original developers of SR series, somehow involved?
A: No, they are not, though they’ve supported idea of the project.
Yeah...huh...no thanks.

I'm always a bit of a sucker for additional content. I would be satisfied if we even got Reboot back on GOG, but support for higher resolutions would help too.

I am dying to play the new HD remake. And I would definitely love to see it hit the GOG shelves. I'm sad to find out that the first two have been removed from the store. Old news, I'm sure.
Pretty Please, GOG...Space Rangers HD ? :)
I would love to see a new Space Rangers. Would be instant buy.
I haven't played the game yet, I was just about to try yet then I searched for a widescreen option and I found out aboutt the HD version, I hope they get it here. :)
