Hi!

As I already witnessed on screenshots, the english translation is rather poor. Is there a way to revert to original (russian) translation? That's what's keeping me from bying it.

You know I think all the data for the text is kept in a file, so if you could get a hold of someone who has an original Russian version, you could pull those. You're lucky, I wish I read\spoke Russian. There is a fan-made expansion for the game but it's all in Russian. :(

If someone finds out, let me know. I'm trying to learn Russian.

Incidentally, I mentioned this in a message to support and they basically said that, due to licensing issues, it would be difficult for GOG to officially release the Russian version.

It seems, in Steam already appear russian version of SR. More over, there are Space Rangers Pack (SR + SR2:Reboot) for $9.99, but I don`t like DRM-protected games... :(
Anyone knows, when GOG.com begins to sale localized games (russian, f.e.), as it Steam do?

There is now a sort of Reboot/Revolution hybrid patch that allows English language players to benefit from all new Revolution content except text elements which haven't been translated. Directions and links to files are to be found here.

You know, you could just follow that link and install the free Revolution expansion. It will change the language of the install to Russian and also add additional content.
