I bought the original Space Rangers 2 off of Amazon. I install it but the Star Force Protection won't let me play it. When I go to start the game a message from Star Force pops up saying "Application installed successfully. Reboot the computer to complete the installation" . So I do that, try to start the game again and the same message pops up. I'm in an infinite loop. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Most likely problem is in starforce.
Possible solutions -
1. update your game, iirc there was a patch which disabled starforce.
2. It is possible that starforce doesn't work under your operational system.
try launch in compatibility with older version/32 bit one
3. look for community-created no-cd patch.

I can't find the patch. And I've tried running the star force under compatibility settings but nothing works. And I really don't want to download anything illegally. Bleh. I wish I would have gotten this game when it was up for download. Hmmm. Hopefully I'll be able to figure something out. Do you think running the game in virtual box under windows xp would make it work?
