This certainly isn't a petition, but who would like to see SQ1 VGA added to the first pack in this series?

Personally I think that any of the enchanced versions should be included. But that's just me

I'd love to see GOG make this the definitive pack by getting the VGA version of SQ1 in here. As it stands, the boxed collection contains the VGA version but not the EGA version, and GOG's digital download version is the reverse.

I too would like to see the VGA remakes included. I'd also be willing to part with a few more dollars to get them.

It's funny how the Steam version comes with the VGA version of SQ1, but GOG comes with the classic version.

I agree, it would be nice to have one pack with every single game...

I can't think of a good reason GOG wouldn't be able to include the VGA version. It can't be licensing issues. I suppose Activision might not have allowed it, but why? Because they only want the VGA version through steam? The obscure and shady world of software distribution...

The exclusion of SQ1 VGA = I won't buy the pack now in hopes that GOG will release the VGA version eventually.

The VGA version is better looking yet still retro enough for me to enjoy the nostalgia.

Heck, I could always pull out my boxed version and use DosBox, but I'd pay $5 or $10 to avoid the hassle of Dosbox setup.

So, apparently it is Activision's fault. Gah.

The KQ1 remake was actually a 16-color remake using the SCI engine rather than the original AGI engine.
The only thing stopping me from purchasing Space Quest 1-2-3 is the lack of SQ1VGA. As soon as it is included, I'm buying it.

Yep, please GOG add VGA... its silly not to have it.

GOG, when are you going to fix the problem?

I bought all of GOG's Space Quest collections in the hopes that they see there is a high enough interest in these games that it would warrant them to push on Activision a little bit to get the updated VGA versions of the games included into all of their respective collections.

It's just not a complete collection unless it has all versions of the games. Then we can play through them how we did as kids and watch the technology evolve as we go through them in release order.

I don't think it's a problem with GOG not having the games. After all, just about every major Space Quest/King's Quest collection comes with the remakes. It could be that the originals are stuck in the same rights vortex that SWAT 4 is apparently in.

Just reminder: sometimes 'stuff' goes on behind the scenes, stuff that we aren't aware. Maybe Steam has a weird exclusive on this version? I dunno, could be something like that. But take heart - if they can get Alien Crossfire for Alpha Centauri, I believe they will try to get the VGA versions for the Sierra games.
