ThoRn: Been playing for awhile now and here are three things I'd like to see added to the game....
1. Ability to change big and small gift offers. Right now the more credits I have the more I stand to lose when I do a big or small gift offer which is crazy since I don't want to lose all my credits for just a +12 or +4 reputation bonus. You're punished for having more credits which sucks. Either let the players edit what's being offered or make it so that big gifts are capped at $1000 credits and small gifts capped at $300 credits or something like that. And if you don't want to use credits in your gift offer then you should be able to supplement the credits with the value of goods.
2. Ability to select all turrets with a hotkey instead of selecting each turret one by one. I have a lot of turrets and it takes a long time to select them all one by one. Would be nice to have a hotkey that allows players to select all turrets right away so they can begin laying down fire on enemy ships. Then, if a player wants to manually adjust where each turret targets they can do that by manually selecting which turrets aim at the enemy ship(s).
3. When trading (new trade) with a ship it takes FOREVER to transfer goods and credits to the trade window. Even when holding down the mouse button it takes a long time. There should be an option that lets you Shift+Left Click if you want to transfer all of a specific item (goods or credits) to the trade window. Or at least speed up the transfer speed when holding down the left mouse button so that if you want to transfer a lot of goods or credits it doesn't take so long.
Request for a new features ....
1. Synths - Would be cool if there was a way to buy or build synthetic humanoids (like Bishop in the movie Aliens) that act and work just like real humans. They should be able to withstand slightly more damage in gun fights but have to be repaired if they take damage.
(EDIT - Well, I think this may already be a thing in the game?) I found a guy stuck on the wall after exploring a derelict ship and his face is white and the customize character option said something about "Android" or something. But he has to sleep and eat like a human. Seems like he should consume energy cells or some sort of raw energy source for food instead of what humans eat. And he shouldn't have to sleep or use the toilet. I was worried when I accepted him to my crew that he might have a chest burster alien inside him that would attack my crew. so I kept a watch on him. But I've had him around long enough now that I guess that isn't a thing? Or maybe because he's an android and immune to chest impregnation from aliens? I dunno. But would be cool if that was a thing in the game with a 50/50 chance of rescued human crew members who have been found stuck to a wall being impregnated by the alien species and after so many days back on the ship. Maybe the could explode into a bloody mess and an alien emerges where they exploded and begins to attack crew members on the ship until the crew members kill the alien? I think that would be a cool feature.)
2. Grenades (Frag grenades, EMP grenades, smoke/gas grenades).
3. Grenade launcher attached to assault rifle (that can fire the aforementioned grenade types). Frag to clean room of baddies, EMP to damage and disrupt electrical devices within a radius, and smoke/gas to blind and cordon off baddies from passing through the smoke or gas cloud within a radius for a period of time till it disipates.
4. Flame throwers. For scorching bad guys and aliens.
