I have vista and I can't get this one to run. It gets to the loading graphic but crashes to desktop. I have tried the different resolutions as well as compatibility modes in vista. Help
Well, you get farther than I do. I get the pre-starting menu bit, where I can change some settings and stuff, but I'm always getting a Vital Error that crashes the game as soon as I try to click the Play button. I'd played this game way back when and I wish I could play it again.

Same here. It says "fatal error".

I'm not very happy about it.
Looks like I get the same kind of error you do.

People say the game is crash free, but that's just not true. I wonder if they will fix this issue, or if they even care? Seeing how they took 2 whole years just to fix Betrayal at Antara, I don't have a lot of faith in them.

Tried several ideas, but nothing worked. A fix to the "fatal error" issue would be nice.
I got a crash similar to this once, and then I couldn't launch the game (the processus was running, but nothing showing on screen). However, I have a laptop with an nVidia Optimus system, with nVidia launching as default. If you have the same thing, launch the game with the Intel integrated graphics, and it'll be fine (Optimus still has some issues with some older games). I doubt it's really the same issue here, but it's worth checking out.
