Avast sees the game as a suspicious program and terminates it unless you manually add an exception in its auto sandbox list. This should be an easy fix in the installer and I would recommend modifying it.

I recommend to set sandbox mode to "ask", if not you will probably run in a lot more trouble than just this game. ;o)
