I'm mostly interested in the story & experimenting with skills and army composition. And there are really lots and lots of minor, boring fights, which I would rather automate.
But as soon as I do that, I have big losses and especially later campaign missions become impossible.
Just implementing a flat +/-50% damage for the AI to simulate "hard" or "easy" difficulty is sufficient.
