Every time I try to run the sim with Wan in the lab it crashes to desktop. Anyone know of a workaround?

Crash should be fixed in the updated version, but the update still hasn't been pushed to GOG yet it seems.

Thx, brain fart on my end, totally forgot they had a website...
Guess I'll go for a walk or read a book while they push it here.
Since I still can't post new threads, they never get created, I'm happy someone posted about it here.
In my "pre-review" of the game, I posted the link to the video with the crash. But since I was pi$$ed because of the crash I only half an hour later find the mentioned thread on Frictional support forum.

I'm on CentOS7, with game already finished with the GOG version.
Temporary solution is in the post #25 on the forum you posted link to.
Aaah, now I see why I couldn't post new thread here on GOG, as this post was rejected too, but it at least told me why this time - I can't include links in the post. Now I wonder why..

Anyway, works fine, but it's not definitive solution, as I was able to get it crashed during the simulation as well, but only maybe for the tenth time the sim was running, so it's good enough.

Just add the mentioned MALLOC var in your simple script for running the game, eg:

cd /path/to/SOMA/game
export MALLOC_CHECK_=0
./Soma.bin.x86_64
