SoF1 has very poor widescreen support by default. However there is a really convenient fix for it called Soldier of Fortune Plus

This mod allows you to fix the terrible FOV scaling on guns allowing you to actually see them properly and not have them cut off. It also fixes the multiplayer. It even allows for crazy widescreen scaling like 3840x1080

Use the link provided there. You have to copypaste it though in order for it to work.

I got it to work it just doesn't do anthing when I get to the root of the server it says error.no files. It takes me to some wayback machine thing.... all crap. I'm not gonna bother. Thanks Anyway!

Getting errors when trying to extract. Tried playing the game in low res and it stuttered bad...

Good lord no way I could get this confusing fix to work. Never seen such terrible/lack of coherent instructions in my life.
