I'm trying to get SoF II to run but when I start the game, it just crashes and makes my screen overly bright. I tried going into the main folder, messing with compatibility like Windows 98 or Windows XP, but nothing works. I have an Intel i3-3217u laptop with Intel HD Graphics 4000 and 6 GB of DDR3 memory.

There are some solutions for a crashing game, you tried to rename your Sof2.exe to mohaa.exe? :D

I tried this and it did not work for me.

My system is an I 5 with integrated graphics . Direct x 12. Any help would be appreciated. Same issue as original post. Game crashes and screen goes bright. Have to restart windows.

If you want to play the sp you need to do that manually with an Hex Editor or you find a modificated sof2.exe

I know I'm necroing an old thread, but after renaming it to mohaa, it launched, but the menu is running at, like, half a frame per second.

The starting video of activision and raven software is corrupted. You can still play it though. Just goto Game folder>>base>>sof2sp.cfg and edit(using notepad) seta r_fullscreen "1" to seta r_fullscreen "0" before, everytime you want to play the game. Then switch to full screen mode using the in-game options. Works like a charm everytime. You can even use different mods once you figure this out. Tried and tested :)
