MJim: I've been wondering in my own game about how to deal with the loot weight problem; and it looks like the scavengers will pick up all of the loot dropped at certain locations.

I tested this by dropping my two best swords at Caer Len while an expedition from the scavengers was in progress and sure enough at the end of that expedition they offered to return those two weapons to me or buy them at a fairly decent rate (still not quite as good as Gorim Ironsoot, but I have maximum reputation with that adventurer store).

Unfortunately I have no idea how to get the scavengers to start expeditions at request nor to tell them where to go (perhaps someone else on the forums might know), as I would love to just drop all of the gear on the ground and pick it up in town once the expedition had completed to sell and not deal with the weight management problems.

Also laughed at the cheek of Peter mocking Kashina for missing, good fun :D
Best gold I ever spent was on the Boots of Striding and Springing from the Antiquarians. They allow you to basically ignore loot weight completely. I can carry as much as I want on my paladin who is wearing them and it doesn't affect him at all.

You don't have to order the scavengers to go anywhere. They automatically start cleaning a place once you've completed the quest there. You can check the scavenger's board periodically to collect your share and to see the progress on other jobs. You get to pick through anything they find in case you want it.
thats what I was thinking based on an earlier playthrough. So in this episode, I just dumped a load of gear in the castle courtyard. I'll do a similar dump once if not twice more inside the castle. After clearing it and returning to Caer Cyflen; we'll see how well it works out for the gang.

As a player, what I was happy to see this episode, is that upon making lvl 5, Peter can suddenly hit things!

Level 5 is great for fighter-type classes like the Paladin and Ranger as two additional attacks is almost like having another 2 party members. I was definitely impressed by the hit rate increase for Peter, though everyone seemed to hit better this time round.

@Baptor
I've seen those boots, but the relatively low price made me suspicious of them. I mean why waste money on bags of holding when you can just stuff Plate Mail in your boots...er, I trust these boots even less the more I consider that...(*ahem*...will probably buy a pair when I get back to town).

I wont.....(yes you will)...

no I wont.....(will too).....
5 times...5 times I have tried Aksha, and 5 times, TPK

I looked on youtube to see how others are doing it, even on cataclysm mode...

I am seeing 2 MAJOR differences:

1) every successful video, the party gets initiative...they ALL get to attack, before the undead. So in rnd 2, they get another go...which brings us to the 2nd difference:

2) NONE of them, have Aksha attacking again, twice, after ea party member.

I have yet to get initiative in the room and after ea of my party goes,, Aksha goes again...twice. Its like facing the 2 brood and 5 Aksha

I'm gonna post a short video, that gets us TO the room with Aksha, and then I'm gonna post a separate video, showing what is repeatedly happening. I am WIDE open to input here. How the vids on yutube gt initiative and I cant, AND how their Aksha attacks once while mine attacks 2 x on her round pplus 2 more times after each of my 4 guys goes...making 5 times 2 attacks each round or TEN assaults from Aksha.

EDIT: Did the next entry to the room, entry nr 6: bing-bam-boom, nothing to it. Aksha dies on rd 1, 1 of the brood iin rd 2 and the last one in rd 3......*sigh*

I had zero problems with her or any vampire encounters because of one spell: daylight. I took a chance and cast daylight in the center of the room. Each round Aksha and all the vampire minions took 10 points of radiant damage from the sunlight, because apparently daylight spell counts as sunlight in this game. I've done it in every vampire encounter and they were all cakewalks thanks to it.

My 1st 5 runs, she countered the daylight by casting DARK VEIL, which turned everything black, even when I cast a SECOND daylight. I was at a quandry...then this last go...BOOM! Aksha dies in the very first round. It's uploading now.
I agree with Baptor, Daylight is a very powerful Cleric spell against undead (at least in the current version, unless they plan on patching this later) and I also used it against her.

Not only does it do damage to all of the undead in the radius of Daylight, it imposes disadvantage on the undead vampires as well (all with a massive AOE)...as a bonus it doesn't require concentration to maintain so your Cleric is free to use other concentration based spells.

You can also destroy the shutters on the wall of the room to allow daylight in from outside (I'm guessing this wont be much use if it currently night however).

Whoops, took to long typing this out, I also had her cast Dark Veil when I had sunlight out; it is supposed to clear darkness, but it doesn't seem to work on that Dark Veil ability. Still glad you managed to get past her!

It all boiled down to the initiative rolls. This time I got them. Peter drinks the GT Str pot, Wanytta HASTES him, he get 4 swings 1st rnd...he hit with 3..SMITE...she died in the 1st round. EVER time in previously n this play through, THEY got initiative and I was 1/2 dead (drained) before I could do much of anything at all. The RNG gods are HUGE impactful at times.
