I know that silent 49 already made a Last Blade multiplayer thread dedicated to find friends with whom to play online matches, but this thread is intended to be more broad and less specific -- basically, if you own *any* of the DotEmu SNK games released on GOG that have a multiplayer feature of sorts, feel free to use this thread to look for and add people to play with.

Now, with that out of the way, these are the SNK games I have on GOG:

- Metal Slug;
- Metal Slug X;
- Metal Slug 3;
- Shock Troopers;
- The Last Blade;
- Baseball Stars 2 (no online multiplayer);

If you have all, a few or any of these games (except for Baseball Stars 2, which doesn't seem to support online multiplayer), if you have some time to spare and want to play them online with a friend -- be it the coop of the Metal Slugs and Shock Troopers or the competitive PvP of Last Blade --, be sure to add me to your GOG friends so we can play together. I usually have time, since I work from home, and I have a really messed up sleep schedule, which makes finding the time to play with people in the Americas easy.

If you don't own any of these games -- or if you just don't want to play with me, personally, which is fine --, feel free to chime in, too, post the games you have, schedules for play sessions, praise the games, diss the ports, feel free to do whatever you want as long as you stay relatively on-topic.

Now, if you're feeling like adding me, perhaps there are a few things about my play style that I should let you know. I don't play videogames for the challenge. That's perfectly fine if you do, but I generally don't. What does this mean, exactly? Well, when it comes to the run-n-guns (Metal Slug series, Shock Troopers), it generally means I don't mind playing on any difficulty setting, as long as it's Free Play (unlimited continues). If we *must* play with limited continues, I won't play above Medium difficulty. We can obviously try to play on Hard with the lowest number of continues, just as long as you understand and respect I'm not in it for the "extreme challenge" and I don't feel like I need to prove anything to myself or others, especially not in a videogame, which I treat as a medium to have fun and use as a form of escapism. As long as you understand that if we play on the hardest setting possible you'll most likely end up being the one who carries the game by themselves -- since I won't make it very far --, without feeling the urge to belittle and berate me, we're golden. As for The Last Blade... well: I have 11h30m put in it. Yes, 11h30m in a game that was released two weeks ago. A fighting game at that. This, however, shouldn't be cause for alarm. I'm no "über l33t pr0", by any stretch of the imagination. I will admit, though, that I think I'm relatively decent at it. I like to master special skills for pretty much all the characters, and I'll use them any chance I've got. On the other hand, I'm absolutely terrible when it comes to coming up with effective combos, linking attacks, air juggling, etc. -- which, when it comes to The Last Blade, pretty much means I'll *always* play Power instead of Speed, since I really enjoy pulling off Super Desperation Moves (which are only available in Power), and I'm definitely bad when it comes to coming up with ultra devastating fast combos, which is basically Speed mode's version of a Super Desperation, once activated. Like I said, I'm no pro, but I think I manage relatively decent. If you're very good at fighting games and want someone to wipe the floor with, look no further: I'm your man. If you're pretty much on my level and just want to spar occasionally: just add me. If you think you're not that good at fighting games but still want to play against something other than the AI, fret not, I promise I'll go easy on you and let you take your time to learn the ropes -- plus, who knows?, you might be way better than you thought. Or, heck!, if you don't care about any of this crap and just want to get online and play with someone!

And... that's it. Whew! Sorry for the long post.

Be seeing you guys (hopefully)! Happy gaming! :D

I have the Metal Slugs and the new galaxy releases of the king of fighters 98 and 2002. So i add you to my friends list. Maybe someday we will be able to play toghether, even if the xbox 360 controller does not have a d-pad. Did not try the dualshock 4. Do you now if the dualshock 4 will work?
Edited for reasons. I guess people love adding for just spamming. currently not accepting any friend invites for a bit.

DreamedArtist: if anyone is down for metal slug and kof 2002 I am down. I might not have the best of free time due to work and college but I can make time.
I'm down for these games, but i am not a good player of snk games, so keep that in mind.
Anybody still plays The last blade? I wonder how the netcode holds up (well it's dotemu, I have low expectations). Feel free to add me for casual match or two.
