ive read on every post that this game has fps drops and problems with audio, is it still like this or they have updated this game so it now works as it should?
I am pretty new to Fighting games and I haven't played the original Neo Geo version. But for a noob like me, the gameplay seems fine. About the audio. I could only hear some weird stuff during the cinematics featuring Grant (second last fighter in story mode).

So, I feel it is worth it, especially with the discount. But as I said, I cannot compare it to anything.
Do you have problems with achievements?

I only have 2 achievements and already pass the game several times in several modes and in several difficulties.

P.d: they add me to get the achievements for playing multiplayer

I suppose it's still the same version as the one on Steam. If so, it has some audio problems and weird framedrops. It's hard to play it if you're accustomed to arcade perfect MAME of fba versions. But if you're new and just fancy some brawls against AI, this dotemu port is passable. for mutliplayer action you should use fightcade.

Recently on GOG, SNK replaced dotemu port of Samurai Shodown 5 SP with much better Code Mystics version. Maybe they'll do the same with Garou...?

Also, you can download the game files (not the Galaxy version, just the raw files) and put them into MAME, if I am not mistaken. So you would have a legal ROM for that.

New achievements are in place already, indicating that the Code Mystics version is coming soon. Might also cause an increase in price, just like with SamSho5SE. My advice would be to get it now if you haven't already (67% off is not a historical low, but probably still the best price for the foreseeable future).

Just my 2 cents though, as I've seen the future with much whining many times now, thus I warn in advance! ;)

About the achievements: I realised at the end of last year that the displayed achievements were busted in Galaxy 2.0. I had only displayed the ones I already unlocked on my home PC (the ones I didn't unlock were not even listed) and my laptop showed every achievement (including the new ones which were not unlockable). Both Galaxy installations claimed I had 100% unlocked. So I contacted the support and it seems they changed something as now all achievements are shown and the percentage seems to be correct on all my PCs. However the new achievements are still not unlockable. So maybe the change for the achievements is just related to that.

New achievements are for the Code Mystics port of Garou. They will become unlockable once the patch gets a public release. It's currently in QA testing iirc.

My point wasn't about achievements themselves really, more of a confirmation that we are getting Code mystics port on gog too and that's cool in my book.

All the cheevos which have DotEmu in the brackets cannot be obtained in the Code mystics version itself. However if you still want to get them, you can switch versions back to DotEmu (easily done in galaxy, Version gog-1 from 2 years ago is the dotemu version naturally).

P.S. Code Mystics and SNK were cool and removed the bugged/unobtainable cheevo from the dotemu version (play with all characters) as a bonus.

Edit: Also the unlock rate among all players is still 0.0% for all character based achievements. Seems to be pretty unrealistic. So, I really think it is buggy.

When you say "in-game achievement" do you mean there is now an item unlocked in the Achievements section, or do you mean the Gallery section?

The requirements for the Gallery section are different, and Gallery unlocks are different than achievements.

When you finished the game, did you earn the opportunity to fight Kain or did it end with Grant? The achievement requires you to earn a match with Kain and defeat him.

As to the percentages, the numbers are still quite small. 0.0% is not actually 0 in this case, just less than 0.1%.

I know it is not exactly 0.0%, but every achievement for the fighters is on 0.0% feel at least suspicious.

I defeated Kain and got the end credits rolling.

There is an in-game section called achievements in the Code Mystic version (if I am not mistaken), there I unlocked a picture of Terry.
