Hi all! So, I downloaded the updated version, and replaced the one I had on an external drive. Now I can't load my saved game, and I have the sinking feeling that the default save location is within the app itself (i.e. you have to right-click on it to "Show Package Contents"). So, I think I have lost it.

Does anyone know if this is the case? I can't find a likely location elsewhere (e.g. under "Documents" or "Application Support"). When I started the game, and went to load, it went to drive_c/users/my user name/My Documents/TheSecession.smg. The saved game I was looking for was as the Secession character, but it reported that it couldn't load it.

I hadn't gotten that far in, so if it's gone, lesson learnt. But I want to avoid repeating it! Thanks so much.

I can't check it, as I haven't got a Mac at hand right now, but try searching for "Secession" or "Smugglers" with the Finder.
Make sure to include hidden files/folders in the search (click "+" button and choose "File visibility" and your option as well as "System files").

In fact the save location is in the .app and specifically in the drive_c/users/Wineskin/My Documents/Smugglers5/ folder. If you named it TheSecession.smg it would be overwritten by the newer version which comes with a save named that. Unfortunately, it is lost.
