"This game is notoriously unstable on multi-core machines - have you guys done anything to mitigate that?"

Love GOG but want to make sure people are aware of this. Hopefully a bluetext can confirm a fix for this has been included. (Remember the 30-day money-back guarantee, although hopefully you won't have to use it)

Just purchased for my Windows 7 machine. When I run the game all I get is a black screen for about 5 seconds then back to the desktop.

I've been playing SC4 on multi-core for years without any issues.

They have some Troubleshooting threads, and lots of extra content for this game - don't forget to grab the latest NAM.

The SimCity 4 Launcher can help with running SimCity 4 on newer computers. One of it's features is to set CPU cores and priority.

Yep. When running the game on a multi-core system, just make sure shortcut to SimCity 4.exe is using "-CPUcount:1".
