Is anybody experienced in SimCity4 running on Mac (OS X 10.9.5)
Several other games (Gothic 2, The Settlers 4, Icewind Dale, Caesar 3) are running without any problems; these games are installed and running with PortingKit. But with SimCity4 I am struggling. I tried to change the command line via Wineskin, turned off the intro ("-intro:off"), tried window mode "-w", tried different resolutions, but nothing did work. The window gets black for 1 second, then turns back to the Desktop and nothing more happens.
Would be happy about some help... Any ideas?

Unfortunately I cannot help you with your problem, I just wanted to mention that SimCity 4 on Steam does have a MacOS version of the game which runs. So it is possible to get it running. You could try contacting the PortingKit team in case they have any ideas (https://portingkit.com/contact).
This might sound like a crazy idea, but have you tried WINE?
