1 - When I am playing Simcity 2000 on my laptop and then close it to coninue it later the screen gets choppy and the game gets ruied and fails. I had to restart it.

2 - When I did restart it the city that I had saved was blanked out. My city was just a flat land with nothing on it.

Are these known issues and if they are can someone please provide a way to prevent these from happening?

I am having the exact same problem. After I save a city and try and load it it comes back completely empty. Nothing but blank land

Same issue here, save game is broken. The whole city disappeared and left nothing but blank land.

dosbox does not really like power and suspend features that laptops have, I really suggest saving your city and exiting out of the game completely before closing your laptop and putting it into suspend mode.
