I wonder what others think about asking creators of Silver to launch kickstarter for sequel or remake of this great game? Does the company which created Silver still exist? Is there any way to contact them? Would you back such project?

As far as I know, Infogrames shifted their name to some Atari brand in 2009.

And, personally, I don't think remaking Silver would be a good idea. In general that's not a good idea with any game. The original is where it's at. I would appreaciate a sequel, however, if it's done well. That's my opinion.
well if they could make a sequel i would be very happy. they might add a total remake of the original silver with the sequel and i would be even more happy :D

but for a remake i would still see the same controll system etc.

Hi, I would like to know if there is a patch for the Italian language for the game Silver Infogrames downloaded from the site. thank you very much
I remember a PC Gamer (UK) preview of Silver while it was in development which quoted one of the creators as saying, oh yes, there will be a Silver II...

Since presumably the rights are corporately owned, however, that probably means very little. EDIT: Hmm, that's odd. The GOG gamecard lists the developer as 'Infogrames Europe SA', but Spiral House identify it on their website as one of theirs. Not that a sequel is likely after this long even if it turns out that Spiral House retain the IP. EDIT 2: Ah--Wikipedia says Spiral House worked on the Dreamcast version specifically.

I seem to have found the person listed in the credits as "creator of the original concept" on Google+, but I can't PM him :( Not sure whether that means he is the writer/man in charge or a concept artist, though. His name is Warren Lanchashire, by the way.

I would support this and i havent even played the 1st game yet lol. I just remember i used to gaze on the cover and back screenshots. I regret to this day that i went and bought PC Resident Evil 2 instead of this when i had the choice in the store :(

The IP has been bought up by Nordic Games. There is hope in the horizon!

For some strange reason i cannot post full links on gog.

Nordic Games has set up a forum where the fans can discuss the direction of Silver : forum.nordicgames.at/forumdisplay.php?924-Discussion-about-Atari-IPs

Fantastic news! I didn't think we'd see a new Silver game, but now I'm looking forward to an actual sequel/remake announcement. Why else would they'd be interested in buying the Silver IP rights?
They just need to find a developer to make Silver 2 that doesn't screw it up.
Great news indeed!

They have also bought the remaining IP's of THQ, like darksiders. And there are no plans with it so far. So this says nothing.

It isn't that great. Nordic is also the owner of JoWood. And they are responsible for faillures as Arkania: gothic 4 (was published under the nordic banner)

Nothing wrong with Nordic. They helped bring out a new version of D.W. Bradely's Dungeon Lords. It's the developers of Gothic 4 that you should look at, though I never tried Gothic 4 so I don't know how it is. And didn't Jowood put out Gothic 4, not Nordic? Nordic also puts out casual type games for consoles, I don't think Jowood ever did that.

They also published Europa 1400 and The Guild 2, which are some of the best simulation games ever.

Anyway, just saying they're not that bad.

Jowood is the publishing label of Nordic now, so Nordic is responsible. JoWood filled in for bankruptcy in 2011 and Nordic took over all assets of JoWood. Since then they use the jowood name as the publishing brand.
And most of the time the publisher is responsible for the quality of the game, as they are the ones who decides when a game is gonna to be released.

Well, Nordic cant be responsible for old releases of JoWooD. And ArcaniA was a JoWooD project. Really in charge was a banking company.

Nordic is indeed looking to do something with Silver.
