I know this error code was already solved, but my problem is different. Near the Frozen Castle, there is an outdoor area in which there are two treasure chests that seem to turn into enemies when you approach them. When I go near them, the game freezes and says "EXCEPTION : Access Violation". It then crashes.

I have tried patching the game and adding Silver to the DEP exclusion list. The patch didn't fix this issue and adding Silver to the DEP exclusion list only made the game crash when I loaded my save.

There's a problem when you try to save the game in front of Glass Castle too... Same error: Access Violation.

Oh, and I did installed the patch 1.0.1. Is there another one?

I have the same problem near the two chests and have been unable to fix it. Have you had any suggestions yet?

Is there no solution to this problem? It's been over two months since I posted this and I'm still stuck in the game.

there are some old patches i have. not sure if they'll work with this version.

also just search - silver game patches. they worked for me. - let me know how it goes. this game is known for a lot of crashing. The only bad thing about it.

If you are still having problems- i have an .ISO copy of this game with all the fixes and a program to run it. I'll send it to you.

@SergioStanchini, I have some other crashes during the game and no patch fixes them, so can you please send me the .ISO version of the game you're talking about. I haven't tried only that. :/

I have the exact same problem near Glass' castle. I don't think any of the other solution will help because this isn't an issue with a movie file not playing? Some other event is probably trying to trigger but failing.

I've reached this point too, and it happens when whatever enemies are there jump out of the snow.

I can wander around. but the minute the enemies pop up, I get the same error.

where there are the 2 chests the game crashes.
Anyonw tryed the any patch yet?
