hehe the solution is simple yeah it's a faulty detection due the program run without a window, virus behave like that without the user knowing it's there, and you might also get a fault detect on it if it's doing something like reading memory etc. that is not the part of the programm the memory is allocated

but then again if you just call a function, basicly the same as the game does when you talk to the save guy the it's fine

This is very VERY awesome. But could you maybe make it use a different button? F5 is already used by the game. Maybe a letter key...? Would be very much appreciated.

This save any time is a brilliant program. However, one word of warning: if you save just as a fight is about to start and then reload, the enemies have all disappeared. This is fine most of the time, especially when all you get out of a fight is a few bits of food and lose lots of health in the process. If you are fighting a boss however this can have a detrimental effect of the working of the game. If the boss drops something you need then it won't be there if you wipe him out with a save/reload. Also, if you use this on the Ice Viking then the professors will not be there when you go to the library and you cannot then pay the boatman.

I want to thank you a lot for this brilliant little (7kb lol :D) program you made there, it is a lifesaver! I don't know how you did it but you are a genius. A while ago i was playing silver and was near the end of the game where there are tons of tough enemies on each screen and the damn oracle appears once every 100 years. I cleared a lot of rooms but suddenly my silver crashed completely at random (never done that before...) and i said "screw this I'm not gonna go trough all those zones again, what if it crashes the same way it did?"
Well, i wont have to worry about that anymore thanks to you :) You brought me back to this wonderful game and let me finish it.
I think this little program of yours should be sticky-ed on the forums or even be in the default silver install, since it makes the game 50% more awesome.

I was wondering though why my antivirus thought it was a virus. I'm pretty sure it isn't since you can't fit a virus inside 7kb :D Stupid antivirus :D

Well i am not 100% sure but a few antivirus's don't like program's that mess with the memory of a game while its running, i suppose it COULD be classed as suspicious behavior by the virus scanner but in this instance it is not harmful. A lot of my program's get flagged as virus's (but not when i release them its usually a few days after so maybe someone is telling virus companies its a virus ?)

But you are right and it is NOT A VIRUS, i made this myself using ASM code and MASM compiler and no part of this whatsoever is a virus (also like you say it would be very challenging getting a virus into 7kb hahahahahahahaha)

Well, i downloaded the second version posted in this topic and it was not classified as a virus anymore.
Anyway, i see you have some expirience coding addons and such things, so can you please make one that when you open the pie menu the game is paused? I know this might be harder to do, but many people will find it very useful (me included). I know the console version of the game had this so you could copy the code or something?

I just want to repeat the previous message that F5 is already used by the game, so another version using another key would be useful, like F9 or F10?

Can't thank you enough for the save hack kranmer. The game crashes anywhere from 5 to 40 minutes every time I play it so the ability to save anywhere has been invaluable to me. I would have given up on the game long ago as the chronicler save points are spread quite far apart.

I'm having the same problem, but so far it seems that I was able to solve the problem with crashing. And since I'm an oldschool gamer, I don't like those tweks, but since I was worried about not being able to play, may change it.
