I'm on the final North Sea rocket base mission, I've destroyed Helen Hellstein, my objectives list has checked off "Destroy THO Leaders Panzerklein" - but now another "Destroy THO Leader" (not the leaders PK) objective has appeared, but there is nothing left to destroy!!!!!!!!!! The "Leave" button is green indicating no more enemies left and you can leave the area. But when I press it, my party is just sent back to the level's start point!!!!!!!

And that's it - game stuck solid - with damned bugs it seems - once again!!!!!

Any clues anyone?

You didn't get a cutscene after killing Helena's Panzerklein? Or do you mean after that, after she's out of the PK? If the first, I have no idea. There should be a cutscene and then you get taken the the next portion of the mission. If you meant the part after you kill Helena, there's a key you need to pick up and a door in the back you need to go to.

There was indeed no cutscene after killing Helena's PK, the dead PK was just left suspended in mid air where it died.

I don't have a clue, sorry. :(

I know it's a pain, but have you tried starting the mission over and seeing if it'll get past whatever it's stuck on? Otherwise, if it were me, I would just find a video of the ending on YouTube or something since you're right at the end.

It worked folks! A simple retry of the mission that is.....

except for one thing I did different..... using those funky energy weapons killed Helena whilst inside the PK suit but didnt actually destroy the suit itself. I think that's what went wrong. Instead I just used loads of PIATs to destroy the suit first but not Helena.

I'm pretty sure the game should've allowed it the first way around, but hey, seems a bit of bad design in the mission scripting. Like on the factory one that almost forces you to kill that russian guy first, and then the factory self-destructs and mission failed. You have to keep him alive to the very last whilst he's chasing you all over the frikkin place..... bad mission design again, bit of thing with Nival software that is! :P

I've played the mission 4 times now, with and without pk's and I cannot find her

I remember Hel being very elusive, but I did not have trouble with her not showing up at all - dunno what has happened in your game there Oscaar!

In the opening speech with Hel, there was another face next to mine. Dunno who it was, she never spoke

The conversation at the start of the mission? That was Helena. Her and you on the left, and the radio (for the loudspeaker announcement lady) on the right. I guess they did it that way to get three speakers in the conversation. *shrug*

But I still can't figure out why I haven't spotted Hel in 4 attempts at this mission. What gives?

It's a common bug with the game. I don't know what the cause or fix for it is. What should happen is that once you get down the catwalks to a certain level (about halfway down), you'll trigger a script and she will appear (and if I remember, play a cutscene of her taunting you). Then you have your fight with her in her PK suit.

I know what you're talking about when you say that she never appears. Unfortunately, I don't have a solution for you aside from restarting the mission and hope the script triggers properly (and even that might not work if whatever is failing isn't something that gets fixed by restarting). It's a shame that some of these issues are in the game.
