It gives me this error. "Silent Storm: game.exe - Entry Point Not Found" - "The procedure entry point Direct3DCreate9Ex could not be located in the dynamic link library d3d9.dll." Any idea what this is about?

Installed and did not help the case sadly.

Have you downloaded it, unpacked it in a separate folder and run dxsetup.exe from there?

Afterwards, download the latest DirectX web installer and run it as well:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35

Further, reboot your system.

Re-install the game and don't forget to restart your PC.

I am on Win 8.1 and I get the same error message exactly 3 times, before any graphics begins to show for the game. If I respond 'OK' to each of the 3 error popups, then the game starts normally. I did reinstall it one time, but the error messages are persistent.

Even so, I can play the game ok. I've only seen it crash once. But that was because the Java auto-updater insisted on interrupting.

So far have tried both installs, rebooted between, reinstalled the game and the problem still persists. But as Alcaray says I can spam the error message away and I can finally get like after twenty of those popping up on my face to the game.
