At first the game just started with a black screen and jumping to the background on start.
This I got solved by going to the game dir and selecting signalops_config.exe and enabling DirectX there.
Not quite sure what gfx mode it's using if not enabling DirectX there.
The game still jumps to the background when starting it.. but atleast the game now works after alt-tab into it.

But now I'm kinda having another problem.. once I get to use a monitor to control agents.. my screen starts to shake, making it really hard to read and do stuff.
Took me a while to notice a picture with the ~ (grave aka console) button to stop using the monitor.
once i moved away for a quite a bit and then selecting the agent again with 1.. things stopped shaking. (with the side effect of much smaller monitor screens to work with)

Now I'm kinda stuck trying to get that 2nd agent to move towards a designated spot.. it just keeps turning in place at the door way.
This last part is probably me doing something wrong.. but I tried to control him with pressing 2 and swapping the monitor screens and whatnot.. but all the 2nd agent does is stop turning for a moment and continue his turning again.
I've had the same problem, although I haven't gotten further than the black screen and background.
Do you have an Xbox controller plugged in? Try unplugging it before you start the game.
Hi -- one of the developers here.

Thrashie: The game runs on OpenGL by default, so if it only worked after selecting the DirectX option it might just mean that you need to update the drivers for your graphics card for it to work in the default mode. Sorry to hear you had trouble with the player continuing to move around at the monitor station. Can you describe the motion? Is it a continuous movement, or more of a go-stop-go-stop? The idea with this part of the training is to learn how to give orders, so controlling the 2nd agent is disabled. The smaller screen has instructions, but I suppose if you are having to stand back from the monitors it might be difficult to read.

Rikkano: If the game is failing to start, the log file located in C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\Panda3D\log\signalops_client.log might offer some clues as to why. You can post or mail us the log file to contact@space-bullet.com
Same problem here. Unplugging the 360 controller does indeed work, as does turning on DirectX. Wish I could use my controller with OpenGL though. ;)

Hello and cool to see an actual developer here helping little me! I dont have any controller connected. And the game doesn't crash. But when I fire it up its like the menu is lacking, background is there, and I can hear a sound when I press the arrow key up or down (most likely confirmation of me scrolling the options), but I cant see any of them. The screen is all background.

I will try enabling Direct X like Thrashie has described it, and will get back if I continue having problems :)

Seems to be working, currently doing the training missions. One question though the ~ button you refer to, where on the keyboard would it be located for you? Mine is the button just left to top of Enter/Return, and I need to hold Alt Gr, to type the icon, but in game I'm not sure how to de-monitor.

I'm running Crossfire AMD 7970 with latest beta 13.3 drivers.
So might be a beta thing.. but since they have fixes for my other games dirextx mode will do fine for me :)

As for the motion.. it's like my "Commander" keeps shaking in no no no motion.. where it stops for a second from time to time.
The other guy in the room that told me to use the buttons is shaking it's body in a similar left right motion. (so I guess my characters body is moving not just it's head)

After entering that door which you had to sprint to after pressing a button (felt like I had to do that sprint 10x to finally manage to get passed the door) the instruction is saying something like "Step up to the railing: advance training a850 activated.

Surely I'm not seeing the obvious here.. but can't seem to find a manual with the controls on gog or in the game folder

Hi Thrashie,
We think we've identified the problem, and are going to get a patch out as soon as possible. Basically it affects only very high end systems and causes the characters to think they are stuck.
The controls are all taught in game throughout the tutorials, so we didn't think to do a manual with control layouts.

True. But some of the more iregular buttons vary dependant on country. And at this given time, pressing ~ on my keyboard doesn't do anything.

Yes, the ~ key was an issue which caught us a bit unaware. I believe all of the other keys should be pretty standard, though.
The ~ can be remapped by following the instructions in this thread:

Would i be right in assuming this same issue would cause Bolt to pretty much get stuck when sending him to the other side of the room towards the electrical box.. while I'm in control of wrench on a elevated walk path?
Had to move him there manually to move on to the next point, after which the same thing happened trying to send him to the other room... this is all still those training missions btw.
Come to think of it.. that's probably the same reason I can't get that 2nd guy in first training to move beyond the door.

Edit...
One more small thing.
Disconnecting the xbox controller enables the game to run in OpenGL.. but it will make the game run in 24 fps.
Which is probably due to me playing on a LCD TV (oddly enough in directx it's vsynced to 60fps)

I have the same stop-motion-stop-motion problem. No other workaround than waiting for the patch?. Well, at least the developer is quick to response.

TonyDanza, can i suggest to put some ingame subtitles?. I don't have much trouble to understand the game, but lots of non-english speakers will have serious problems without this little help.

Thanks again.

Yes, sorry about that. We don't expect it to take longer than one day to fix.
For subtitles, do you mean English subtitles, or translated ones?

Just english subtitles will be enough for a lot of players, I think. Translated are the ideal, but I know it costs more money and time.
If anyone with the characters go-stop-go-stop-etc issue is interested in testing out a patch please PM me.
