I may very well be one of the first to beat Signal Ops! I also did so without using any reinforcements. Saving helps!

If you need any tips or hints, PM me, so we don't spoil others!

How many missions are there?
There are 9 missions total. Don't let that number fool you though, as the challenge ramps up the further in you go.

Since this is a tips thread, I will share with you guys one that can make the game a little easier to take on. The spy agent will not be attacked by enemies, so you can use him to freely scout out the levels without worry. That extra knowledge, along with his ability to distract enemies away can take a lot of the edge off of the more tough missions. It also leaves you with 1 agent that can always reinforce the others, an "extra life" if you will. You can bring him along on *most* of the missions in the game by simply selecting him from the agent requisition page.

I'm also happy to tell you guys that we have now included a FULL MANUAL to Signal Ops with our latest patch that has gone live earlier today. It should be located in your install folder. Lots of helpful information in it!

Happy gaming!

Yes, I used the spy a bunch! He's great for leading troublesome enemies to safe places where you can hold them up or take them out!
How did you guys get past the mission where you have to blow up the rebel safehouses?

every time a make a slight bit of progress all hell breaks loose and an infinite number of rebels seems to spawn, sapping my agents health with accurate pistol fire while I cant hit a barn door. every time I throw a flare, nothing seems to happen. combined with the nuisance of carting a radio around with the infi-rebels behind every rock, tree, bush and dumpster this level is extremely frustrating!

The flares are meant for blowing up the buildings marked on your map, as well as most of the stationary trucks. Bare in mind that the cannon is firing from the head train, so it might be obstructed in some cases.

Generally in this mission, the more noise you make, the more the rebel's attention will be on you. Best leave the majority of the gunfire between the soldiers and the rebels, they should keep each other busy so long as you stay quiet.

If you do have to fire off a few rounds, try moving to a new position afterwards, as the rebels will investigate the last spot they heard gunfire coming from. Knowing this, you can actually use it to your advantage to get the drop on them.

Also, as with most games, quicksave is your friend!

hope this helps, good luck.

I can get to the north target easy enough, I just can't seem to find a way of blowing up the trucks and the south target, do i need the demoman?

You can also just shoot a few mags of ammo into trucks to blow them up.

That tip sounds useful and I will give it a try later, but where on the south building do I need to throw the flare?

In a window is the best.
There could be a few buildings in the way, so if those were not destroyed earlier then you might need to toss a couple more flares for the cannon to blow up a path to the building you want.
How many documents in Archives totally? After finishing mission 5, the Archives locked up and an agent guarded outside the door, I can't find way in.
I hear that Janitor has all sorts of good advice on things
