It is not patched to the final, 1.2 version! Entire gameplay elements that this update added, are NOT present in the current, gog version!

Also, the "bonus" package is absent, too! Just do something!

Pirates!.exe is 1.02, which is the latest version. Which gameplay elements are supposed to be missing?

Also, that old bonus pack was pretty crappy to be honest. Most new content is worse than the original stuff. Anyway, here is a download link (be warned though that FilePlanet is being reported as an attacking website by Google):

To have it included as a bonus goodie would be sweet but it shouldn't be installed by default.

Patch fixes potentially gamebreaking issues, like AI assaulting your betrothed's town and resetting everything, romance included, or main/Named pirates you have to hunt down, being sunk by AI instead of you. And a variety of other serious issues.

Also, patch adds gameplay elements like adding THREE swords and styles to choose from, for swordfights! Staff which old pirates had, but the remake added it through the 1.2 official patch!

If you apply that patch manually, it breaks game, always to crash in black screen and as for CD, lol, Gog version asking for CD!

Seems i was mistaken. I misread the zeros. Sorry about that. The only real issue, as it seems, is the absence of the "Bonus content/pack", from the Firaxis website before it changed.

It's only a zip file , ShadowOwl posted the link. But you can open a ticket to support . And I am thinking they will add it as bonus goodies easily .
