Hello!

The Civ IV expansion box art for Beyond the Sword shows two mechs on the right and left side. Do those show up in game? I can't seem find them.

In Beyond the Sword, you must activate the Next War mod that comes with the game.

Next War is my go to pay through. It is really well done. I like it more than the better known mods.

Where else can you have huge mechs fighting each other?

I have never tried Next War, but it sounds fun... A way to make me look forward to the late game. But I would like the rest of the game to be the same good old Civ 4. Is it possible to play with the regular civilizations, or only with the four made up factions?

You can only play as the civs that the mod lets you.

Plokite_Wolf: You can only play as the civs that the mod lets you.
That is not true.

If you play the scenario then you can only play with the 4 civilizations.

If you are playing a random game with this mod loaded then all the regular civilizations plus the 4 new civilizations are available.
