Menu-> options -> audio/visual preferences -> whole unit blinks, from with in the game.

Funny, i actually looked for the whole unit blinks option and love it!

I was more irritated by trying to move a unit and shocked to see some other unit move instead because my brain had moved ahead of what my mouse was doing!! hehehehe

(of course move shock still happens when some idiot runs out of moves and sends his move order to the next guy in line and I'm like wtf??)

Hmm Full unit blinking is an improvement but can all blinking be turned off and the screen just centre on the active unit?

Probably could, but then what if two or more units are right next to each other so its hard to tell which units it is centered on?

What i usually do is de-select the unit by right clicking on clear terrain.

That stops it blinking, but that is not why i do it.... i do it because when i get very busy looking around at stuff its quite easy to forget the selected unit, especially if it goes off screen, and then i end up accidentally giving it some ridiculous unintended command! lol
