When you are selecting your faction and costumizing it, you get the option of chosing gender, but whenever I try this, the game doesn't recognize the change and stays at the default option.

it's a known bug. you have to change the gender inside the faction text file to make it work.

In which file do you change that - Couldn't see gender in the txt. file for the angels! :)
