When I start the game without the line (meaning with the colours all wrong) it works, but as soon as I do the colour fix the game crashes when I start a new game and click a few times. I've tried all the compability modes and it didn't help.

I'm running the latest version available here
Windows 7 64bit
Core i5-3470
ATI HD 5830
4gb ram

Is your system a netbook with a screen resolution of 1366x768? If so, try changing the resolution to 1360x768. Please post again if that doesn't help. If you do post again, what is your system's native screen resolution?

Well I'm on a desktop PC but you're right about the resolution and changing that worked so thanks.

Thanks! Switching the res from 1366x768 to 1360x768 helped on my laptop too. Without this the game was crashing after a few turns of playing.
