Hello everyone,
Once i start Shogo i get a black screen while the intro is playing but i can hear the sound just fine. After that i reach the menu but all i can see is the background of it.
I have tried different videosettings and disableding things under the advance menu but no luck.
Anyone else experiencing similar problems? I have tried searching the official forums and using google but not with much luck :)

I assume you have an ATI graphics card? If I remember correctly, you need to force V-Sync off in your video card drivers.
I'd have thought such a recognised problem would be fixed for this new version.

Try changing triple buffering option - it should fix your problem (Shogo: Launcher - Advanced - Enable triple buffering). Please tell us if it works.

Mikoto: Triple buffering worked! thanks a lot guys for your help.

ive seen this post today, btu yes in older games that are trying to get synched with new hardwares/softwares trple buffering is a solution since the algorythm lets colour buffers be display much more efficiently since it refreshes them continuously whereas double buffering is slower and waits between buffers to clean and refresh :)
PS: To gog team: Dobra robota chlopcy :D
I am having the exact same problems as Mikoto. It appears that the triple buffering solved his issue, but I am still having problems. I've tried various resolutions and settings - but no go. However, if I choose software rendering, the cutscenes are still gone but the game is at least playable. I would like to experience the full game though, and I'd like to be able to use hardware acceleration.
System:
Windows XP Home
GeForce FX Go5700 128 MB
1 GB ram
Pentium 4 3GHz
Thanks for any help.
Found a solution to the video problems I've been having:
As soon as the game loads up, press the tilde key.
Then type: maxfps 30
Now Shogo runs perfectly, and with hardware acceleration!
Bart from GOG showed me how to embed this fix into the game so that this doesn't have to be typed every time the game is launched:
Add the line "MaxFPS" "30" (including the quotes) to the autoexec.cfg file in the Shogo folder.

This. THIS. A Thousand times this!
This "MaxFPS" "30" thing also solved it for me.
Thanks1
